HOw to get rid of ingrown hairs and scars on vagina?
ok well i have a huge problem, i shave my vagina and sometimes wax and i have been doing this for years. However i get really bad ingrown hairs all around the area, and sometimes i pop them and sometimes i leave them and i usually take the hair out, however i always end up with a huge red scar. My vagina is now really lumpy, and has lots of random red marks all over it. I really need help because im to scared to let my boyfriend touch me or even look. Does anyone no how i can fix the ingrown hairs or reduce them and get rid of the scars. Help me please, thanks. xxx

You should start exfoliating down there. I get ingrowns sometimes too, and an esthetician recommended I scrub with a natural loofah and cleanser with salicylic acid in it. I use Neutrogena’s Body Clear Scrub. It keeps the ingrowns at bay and, when I get an ingrown, I try to leave it alone.
…wow that was the most awkward thing I’ve ever read…try Laser Removal
Oh my gosh. I have a few scars too. Um maybe go out and get some of that cream that makes scars less noticeable.
Sounds like your skin scars very easily (mine does too…I heal extremely quickly but the scars last forever;). You might even have what’s known as a keloid, which is an overgrowth of scar tissue. They’re more common among African-Americans, but I’m white and I have one from a pimple that I attacked a little too eagerly.
You can’t do anything about keloids. As for shaving, I would reccommend mixing a little Neosporin into your shave gel, and make sure you’re using a good one like Skintimate with baby oil. This will reduce the bacteria on your skin, so that any ingrown hairs are less likely to infect and get big and red.
A scar cream like Mederma, or good old cocoa butter, is worth a try for the regular scars.
Try not to pop them out; many will work themselves out eventually. If you have to try, here’s something I’ve done, although I wanna stress that its probably dangerous and I have no medical expertise whatsoever, although it’s something I’ve used on my face in the past. With that said, you could try a sterilized, brand new razor blade. Make a tiny (tiny!) cut directly over the "center" of the ingrown hair, and then use a pair of sterilized, fine-tipped tweezers to pull the hair out. Immediately sterilize the area with alcohol and give it some time to heal without being rubbed by underwear…maybe sleep without panties for a night.
I’m sorry for being so graphic, but hope that helps. Just be careful!
